Peran Pendidikan Agama Kristen Dalam Membangun Karakter Dan Iman Anak Muda

Abstract

The emergence of various behavioral deviations among adolescents, such as moral crises, violence, and crime, indicates a degradation of character influenced by a lack of moral training in the digital age. The purpose of this study is to examine how Christian Religious Education (PAK) plays a role in building the character and faith of young people, enabling them to develop integrity, ethics, and spiritual maturity. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to conduct this research. This method involved reviewing previous literature related to the research topic, such as books, journals, and theological publications. The study shows that PAK plays a strategic role in building Christian character grounded in faith in Christ and biblical values ​​such as love, honesty, responsibility, self-control, and faithfulness. PAK is not only a tool for sharing knowledge of the faith; it is also a process of mind renewal and heart transformation that encourages the younger generation to live morally and responsibly, including in the use of social media and collaboration with teachers, family, church, and spiritual communities.
