The term takaful is derived from the Arabic verb kafalah, which means "mutual assistance" or "mutual guarantee." Today, takaful is defined as an Islamic insurance concept based on the principles of Islamic muamalah (commercial transactions) and Sharia law. This concept has been practiced in various forms throughout Islamic history. This study aims to analyze effective socialization strategies for Islamic insurance in enhancing the understanding and interest of low-income communities in Indonesia toward Sharia-based financial protection. The low level of Islamic financial literacy, limited access to information, and the perception that insurance is only intended for certain economic groups are among the main challenges in the development of Islamic insurance among lower- and middle-income communities. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a comprehensive literature review method. Data were collected from books, scientific journals, articles, and relevant documents concerning Islamic insurance and Islamic financial inclusion in Indonesia. The study identifies the factors contributing to the low adoption of Islamic insurance and formulates an appropriate and targeted socialization model. The findings indicate that a community-based approach, the involvement of religious leaders, and the utilization of local digital media are the most effective strategies for improving public understanding and increasing the interest of lower- and middle-income communities in Islamic insurance. This study is expected to contribute to the enhancement of Islamic financial inclusion at the national level in Indonesia.
