Modern life is often marked by high psychological pressure, which can trigger stress and lead to emotional instability. This study aims to explore the concepts of stress management and emotional regulation from a Buddhist perspective, specifically through the suttas in the Samyutta Nikaya. The method used is qualitative, employing a literature review approach. Data were collected from canonical Pali texts and current academic literature on Buddhist psychology. The results indicate that the Samyutta Nikaya offers profound insights into the roots of stress (dukkha) related to attachment to sensations (vedana). The proposed emotion regulation techniques include the development of mindfulness (sati) and wise attention (yoniso manasikara). These findings are relevant to contemporary mental health practices. In conclusion, the teachings in the Samyutta Nikaya provide a practical framework for managing stress through an understanding of the true nature of emotions, which can be integrated into modern psychological therapy.
