STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN KEMANDIRIAN EKONOMI SANTRI MELALUI PELATIHAN WIRAUSAHA SYARI’AH: STUDI KASUS DI PONDOK PESANTREN DALWA

Islamic boarding schools currently serve not only as religious educational institutions but also as centers for developing students’ economic independence. This study aims to analyze the strategy of developing students’ economic independence through sharia entrepreneurship training at Darullughah Wadda’wah (Dalwa) Islamic Boarding School, Bangil, Pasuruan. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving program supervisors, business unit managers, students, and alumni. Data analysis followed the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, including data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that students’ economic independence is developed through sharia entrepreneurship education, fiqh muamalah learning, sharia financial training, and direct involvement in boarding school business units. The program improves entrepreneurial knowledge, business skills, practical experience, and entrepreneurial character. Challenges include limited training time, students’ mental readiness, and differences in participants’ abilities. To address these issues, the boarding school conducts regular evaluations, intensive mentoring, and business system improvements. The study concludes that sharia entrepreneurship training is an effective strategy for fostering students’ economic independence while strengthening Islamic values.
